1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UmmahPass, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

UmmahPass provides a universal identity and membership platform for the Muslim community, including:

  • Single sign-on (OAuth) for partner platforms
  • Membership tiers (Free UmmahPass and paid Ummah One)
  • UmmahPoints rewards system
  • Muslim verification services
  • Access to member discounts at participating businesses

3. Account Registration

To use UmmahPass, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Membership Tiers

Free Tier

  • Universal login across partner platforms
  • 50% points earning rate
  • Access to member discounts

Ummah One · Individual ($5/month)

  • All Guest features
  • 100% points earning rate (2x Guest)
  • Priority support
  • Early access to new features

5. UmmahPoints

UmmahPoints are a virtual currency within our ecosystem. Points:

  • Have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
  • May expire if your account is inactive for 12 months
  • Are non-transferable between accounts
  • May be forfeited if you violate these terms

We reserve the right to modify the points program at any time.

6. Member Discounts

Discounts at participating businesses are provided by those businesses, not by UmmahPass. We do not guarantee:

  • Availability of discounts at any specific location
  • Specific discount amounts
  • Quality of products or services from participating businesses

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Create multiple accounts or share accounts
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Abuse the referral or points system
  • Misrepresent your identity or verification status
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use automated tools to access the service

8. Verification Services

Our Muslim verification service is designed to build trust within the community. By submitting verification:

  • You certify that all information provided is accurate
  • You consent to our verification process
  • You understand verification is at our discretion

Fraudulent verification attempts will result in account termination.

9. Third-Party Platforms

When you use UmmahPass to access partner platforms:

  • You are also subject to that platform's terms of service
  • We are not responsible for the content or conduct on those platforms
  • Your data shared with those platforms is governed by their privacy policies

10. Payment and Refunds

For Ummah One membership:

  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Refunds are provided at our discretion

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will end
  • Your UmmahPoints will be forfeited
  • Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

12. UmmahPoints, Rewards, and Adjustments

UmmahPoints are a virtual reward currency issued by Ummah Media Group LLC to members of the UmmahPass platform. We want the program to be fair and useful for everyone, so we reserve the following rights, which we will exercise reasonably and in good faith:

  • Balance adjustments. We may adjust, reduce, reassign, or zero out a member's UmmahPoints balance at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to: suspected fraudulent activity, technical errors, double-credit incidents, account compromise, violations of these Terms, refunded transactions that previously earned points, abusive earning patterns, or operational necessity.
  • Earning suspension. We may suspend or revoke a member's ability to earn future points if their account is under review for any reason, until the review is resolved.
  • Program changes. We may modify earning rates, point values per action or category, redemption rules, and available rewards at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately for future earning and redemption.
  • Retroactive corrections. If we discover a bug, data inconsistency, or unintended over-award, we may issue a corrective adjustment retroactively. We will not retroactively claw back points already redeemed for a fulfilled reward.
  • Spirit of the program. We reserve the right to decline to honor points earned in a manner that violates the intent of the rewards program, even if no specific rule was broken at the time.

All balance adjustments made by UMG staff are logged with a reason and the identity of the team member who made the change. If you believe an adjustment was made in error, contact us at support@ummahpass.io and we will review it.

UmmahPoints are not convertible to cash under any circumstances today. They are a platform-specific reward mechanism and are entirely separate from any future UmmahCoin or digital currency initiative. We make no promises about future convertibility or redemption mechanisms, and any such changes would be announced as an update to these Terms.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UMMAHPASS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the binding arbitration provision below, any judicial proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

17. Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

Binding Arbitration. You and Ummah Media Group LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules & Procedures (or, for consumer disputes, its Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards), rather than in court.

Venue. The arbitration shall be conducted in San Bernardino County, California. You and UMG may agree in writing to conduct the arbitration by video conference or by submission of documents only.

Class Action Waiver. You and UMG agree that each party may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

Exceptions. Nothing in this Section prevents either party from (a) seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information, (b) bringing an individual action in small-claims court, or (c) exercising rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Opt-Out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@ummahpass.io within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
