What is UmmahPass?

UmmahPass is a universal identity platform for Muslims online. It provides single sign-on across Muslim-focused websites, member discounts at participating businesses, and a points rewards system.

Is UmmahPass free?

Yes - UmmahPass Free is completely free and gives you access to universal login, member discounts, and the ability to earn UmmahPoints. Ummah One (pay what you can, from $3/mo) unlocks additional benefits like 2x UmmahPoints on missions and stories, @ummah.email inbox, and more.

Which websites can I use UmmahPass with?

Currently, you can use UmmahPass to log into MuslimTorrents and UmmahPlaces. More platforms are being added regularly, including UmmahArmy and UmmahJobs (coming soon).

What is a story?

One photo or one short video on your ummah.me page. It disappears after 24 hours unless you tick Keep.

Where do I post one?

Two places. On your Ummah One home, use the Post a story box. On UmmahSocial, tap Post a story on your own profile or beside Photos on the home feed. Either way the story is the same one, and you can always find it again on your own Sands page.

Who can see it?

"Everyone on your page" shows it on your ummah.me page and in your story ring. "Only people with the link" keeps it off both, and you share its own link.

Most pages start switched off, so if you have not turned yours on, your story has its own link but is not on your page yet. Turning your page on is in Profile → Privacy and it is free - it is not a paid feature and you do not need to upgrade for it.

Nobody can see that you watched a story. There is no viewer list and no view count, on any story, because we do not record one.

Where do I see the stories I posted?

On your own Sands page: ummahsocial.com/@your-handle/sands. It lists everything you have posted, newest first, split into today's and the ones you kept, and it works whether your page is on or off. Each one tells you what is true about it: whether it disappears today, whether you kept it, and whether only people with the link can see it.

How do I take a story down?

Take down on your Sands page, next to the story. It asks you to confirm, because this cannot be undone: we delete the file within a few minutes, then re-check the link to confirm it is really gone. We cannot bring a story back once it is taken down.

What happens if someone reports my story?

It is hidden, and it is kept rather than allowed to disappear on its timer, so the evidence still exists. You will still see it on your own Sands page, labelled, rather than finding it silently gone.

A named list of people on our team reads it. If the report was wrong we put your post back and its own timer resumes. If it was right the post stays hidden and we delete the file after 90 days, so you have time to write to us about it first.

Do stories earn UmmahPoints?

Your first story each day earns points, whichever place you post from. The composer tells you after it has happened. There are no streaks and no daily reminders.

What's the difference between UmmahPass Free and Ummah One?

Both tiers include universal login and member discounts. The key differences are:

• UmmahPass Free: Identity + ummah.me profile + ecosystem login
• Ummah One (pay what you can, from $3/mo): Full @ummah.email inbox + 2x UmmahPoints on missions and stories + 10% set aside for Muslim charities via UmmahCauses

How do I join Ummah One?

Log into your dashboard and click "Join Ummah One," or visit /upgrade. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout. Your Ummah One benefits activate immediately after payment.

Can I cancel or downgrade anytime?

Yes. Cancel, downgrade, or pause directly from your dashboard — no portal redirect, no friction. Your @screenname stays yours, mail forwarding keeps working, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Full walkthrough: /billing. How do I earn UmmahPoints?

You can earn points through various activities:

• 500 points for signing up
• 500 points when a friend you invited confirms their @name, and 1,000 more when they join Ummah One
• Points for activities on partner platforms
• Bonus points for special promotions

What can I do with my points?

UmmahPoints can be redeemed for rewards and perks across the ecosystem. We're continually adding new redemption options. Stay tuned for exciting rewards!

Do points expire?

Points remain valid as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for 12 months, points may expire. Keep using UmmahPass to maintain your balance!

How do discounts work?

Participating Muslim-owned businesses offer member discounts to UmmahPass holders. Each business sets their own discount percentage (typically 10-20%). Simply show your UmmahPass membership when making a purchase.

Where can I find participating businesses?

Visit UmmahPlaces.com to browse our directory of participating businesses. You can filter by category and location to find Muslim-owned businesses near you.

What is Muslim verification?

Verification is an optional process that confirms you as a member of the Muslim community. Verified members get a badge on their profile and may access member features on partner platforms.

How do I get verified?

There are several ways to verify:

• Video verification (recite the Shahada)
• Mosque code (get a code from your local mosque)
• Referral from verified members

Is verification required?

No, verification is completely optional. You can use all core features of UmmahPass without being verified. Verification simply adds an extra layer of trust.

How is my data protected?

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption, secure password hashing, and regular security audits. We never sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What data is shared with partner sites?

When you log into a partner site using UmmahPass, you'll see exactly what information will be shared before you authorize. Typically this includes your name, email, and membership status.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your Profile settings. This will permanently remove your data from our systems. Note that this action cannot be undone.
